Bengaluru FC won the Durand Cup 2022. Bengaluru FC defeated Mumbai City FC in Final of the Durand Cup 2022. Siva Shakti and Alan Costa were on target for Bengaluru FC, on the other hand Apuia found the back of the net for Mumbai City FC in the final.

This is the first ever Durand Cup trophy for Sunil Chetri who has now won everything that a footballer can win in India. Every Football Fan in India was happy for our very own Champion. But an incident happened during the prize ceremony of the Durand Cup 2022.

West Bengal Gevernor pushed Sunil Chetri aside when the media was clicking photos with the Trophy. A Twitter user tweeted the same on micro-blogging website.

As you can see in one tweet, Sunil Chetri was pushed so that the Governor of West Bengal can pose with the Trophy. In another tweet, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs in West Bengal pushed Bengaluru FC's forward Siva Shakti so that the newspaper can print the photo of minister with the coveted Trophy.

Former Indian Cricket Team player Robin Uthappa was also upset with the incident and expressed his displeasure via reply to the above Tweet.

Indian Football and Sunil Chetri fans lashed out at the ministers and told them to show some respect to our Leader, Legend Sunil Chetri.
