Asia Cup 2022 will begin on August 27 this year and the final of the tournament will be played on September 11. The venue has also been shifted from Sri Lanka to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) coming up with the announcement of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) hosting the tournament in the United Arab Emirates. Asia Cup 2022 will be played in the T20 format. India vs Pakistan match is scheduled to take place on August 28.

The wait is finally over as the battle for Asian supremacy commences on 27th August with the all-important final on 11th September.

The continental event will be played in the T20 format, featuring 6 teams divided into two groups at the start. In their respective groups, the teams will be playing each other once. The top two teams from both the groups will then advance to the Super 4s, where all the four teams will be playing once against each other. The top two teams from the Super 4s will advance to the final that is scheduled to take place on September 11. Group A consist of 3 teams India, Pakistan & Hong Kong. Group B 3 teams are Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Afghanistan.
